Weaving Bridges Project LAUNCH!
How absolutely gorgeous, and fantastic is was to see the Whales on the Beach front at Queenscliff Life Saving Club! With the blue skies and shining ocean, it could not have been more perfect!
The Husband and all three children were so proud, helping to set up the whales, quickly weave and stitch the last few circles of love together, and then we listened to the ceremony.
We had a beautiful ceremony, lead by the deputy councillors, Adele Heasman and Sue Heinz. Susan Moylan-Coomba spoke about the importance of the recognition of the land, and this festival. Music has was mezmerizing by Koby and Cory, and Uncle Bob representing and Aboriginal Story telling. Robynne Millward started to talk about all of the community coming together to complete this project, unfortunately we had to leave…
The communtiy coming together, the Blessings and the FUN that we have had, have made this project an experience that I know the children will never forget! We cannot wait for the next one!
Thank you Manly Council and the Guringai Festival!
